WELCOME

Our group is based in the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and we take a multidisciplinary approach to addressing key challenges in health, food, and environmental sustainability. Our research is driven by the need for eco-friendly solutions and increased public awareness of environmental issues, particularly the impact of pollution on ecosystems and human health. We specialize in green extraction techniques, the use of natural polymers, and biosynthesis to develop sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life.

Our areas of interest include:

  • Green extraction of bioactive compounds from Asian herbs and other natural sources

  • Developing biodegradable scaffolds from natural polymers for cell culture and tissue regeneration

  • Enhancing the bioavailability of natural compounds for drug delivery and therapeutic applications

  • Synthesizing biocompatible hydrogels and creating cross-linking agents to modify natural polymer properties

  • Promoting environmental sustainability and awareness by researching eco-friendly technologies and strategies to mitigate pollution, such as microplastic reduction

We are committed to fostering greater environmental responsibility through our research and innovations. We hope this site provides you with a clearer understanding of our work. For any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to reach out!
